Belgrade - the rising fashion metropol

Belgrade, one of the oldest cities in Europe, is moving towards the modern world with high speed. As the confluence of Sava and Danube rivers is the fashion world around here. Embracing the Milan born concept stores, building huge shopping malls and improving their fashion week I can say that stylish people are popping on every corner with fierce outfits that make your head turn.
I usually see the city's fashion when I'm actually there but you can capture the picture from their edition of the Elle magazine, and definitely the serbian models around the world.
Also their fashion designers are influencing the world fashion scene, just look at Roksanda Ilincic. Born in Belgrade, she started studying applied arts at the Belgrade university and continued her studies in London. Nowadays, her designs are worn by high profile clients, and are taking place next to the worlds greatest fashion designs.
Another notable person in the fashion world, serbian born, is Rushka Bergman. She is a co editor at L'Uomo Vogue and Vogue Italia and was the personal stylist of Michael Jackson.
Georgina Stojiljkovic was featured in the 2010 Pirelli calendar photographed by Terry Richardson as well as doing runways for many designers including Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermes, Lanvin, Prada, Versace and many more.
Not to mention the male models ;)

Spike Season

A cone shaped piece of metal became an icon in fashion. Is it the need for exploring and matching styles, or just a caprice of the fashion world?
In my opinion, the spikes definitely capture the fierce styling. They look so dangerous but at the same time sexy and attractive. I was wondering earlier, taking in consideration that Louboutin makes the sexiest shoes, but do men like his spiked ones, or fear them? Somehow they remind me of a weapon, like we use them to keep people away, but at the same time I want them so bad :)
Anyways, a rule is a rule. Too much of everything can not be good. Surely you wouldn't wanna look like a porcupine that just left the zoo.

Enjoy ;)

The Front Row Autumn/Winter

What if the world turned around fashion... Luckly it does :) Every morning when you get out of your bed and stand infront your wardrobe you are creating fashion. Your personal style which is led by your sense of fashion. Imagine your favorite jeans with that white shirt, and oh those killer heels... Perfect.
Everyone, no matter the occasion, place or company is expressing something by what he/she is wearing.
Like Anna Wintour once said: "Fashion is a language where you don't have to speak to say something."

For this upcoming season I would suggest you check out the front row at the Moncler Gamme Rouge runway. The collection was inspired by Visconty's "The Witches"movie, in which Silvana Mangano, fabulosly dressed arrives in St. Moritz.
The creative director of the brand, Giambattista Valli, explained: "I really want to bring the worlds of haute couture and sport technology together."
Well, thank you Giambattista for helping many ladies around the globe stay warm and classy.
